Acoustical Upgrades - Configuring the sound of your Marimba One

"The first notes... especially in the lower octave (Basso Bravo) were breathtaking! We were all in awe..." - Sherry Rubins, University of Texas, San Antonio

"The new bass resonators (Basso Bravo) are awesome and the low octave is truly astounding." - Adam Groh

For over twenty years, our Traditional Keyboard Voicing has been the defining sound of Marimba One that has set us apart from all other companies. Our Enhanced Traditional keyboard has an even darker bass end, plus exceptional projection and balance. Our Enhanced Premium keyboards are selected from the finest bars in each year's production; their sound is rare and extraordinary.

Resonators: Classic & Basso BravoTM

The high musical standard set by our Classic Resonators is only surpassed in sound quality by our new Basso BravoTM Resonators. The Basso BravoTM Resonators concentrate the fundamental frequency, while attenuating the upper harmonics. We balance each Basso BravoTM Resonator to create unparalleled resonator voicing.

The combination of our Enhanced Traditional Keyboard Voicing and Basso BravoTM Resonators together create an unparalleled sound (unless you include our Enhanced Premium bars). Nowhere else on the planet will you find a marimba with the musical qualities that we offer with this acoustical configuration.

Lynn Vartan to participate in Vietnam-America "Ascending Dragon Project" Exchange

Lynn Vartan is so excited to be participating in the "Ascending Dragon Music Festival and Cultural Exchange," a six week cultural exchange that will bring 19 Americans to Vietnam in March 2010, and 19 Vietnamese to the US in April-May 2010, each for three weeks.

The Ascending Dragon Music Festival will present public concerts in Vietnam in honor of the 1000th anniversary of the city of Hanoi, followed by an Ascending Dragon Music Festival in Southern California.

Southwest Chamber Music

The exchange begins in Vietnam March 2-24, 2010; then moves to Southern California from April 12 - May 4, 2010.

Lynn will be performing at various concerts in the series, teaching private lessons to students at the Hanoi Conservatory, and giving master classes and other performance workshops as well. This is a return trip for Lynn to the Hanoi Conservatory, and she is anxious to see how the students she worked with before have changed in the past year, and even more thrilled to be able to show them Los Angeles when they return to perform with her in April!

Testimonial

"Ron and staff, thank you so much for building such an amazing instrument for me. First off, the new Basso Bravo resonators produce tone and fundamental in the low register of the marimba that I have never heard before.

I have always felt that Marimba One has set the standard for marimbas especially with the new Basso Bravo resonators and I truly believe that Marimba One Marimbas represent the ideal marimba sound allowing me to achieve every sound and musical nuance that I wish to express on my marimba.

On top of all of this, I have always heard how great the service is at Marimba One and now I understand why. You continue to work with your customers until they are more than satisfied and I could not be more grateful for your artistry, innovations, and kindness. A million thanks!" - Eddie Hong
