Hunter Gross

Hunter Gross is an American percussionist, chamber musician, and educator based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Garnering recognition as a performer early in his career Hunter has taken first prize in multiple percussive competitions, most recently he took first prize in the Keyboard Division of the 2020 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) Solo Competition.

As a vibrant performer, Hunter joined the stage with Heartland Marimba on their “Vivid Horizons Tour” ultimately ending with a showcase performance at PASIC 2022.  Hunter continues to push the boundaries of classical percussion through his ongoing collaboration and consortium projects with esteemed contemporary music composers including Molly Joyce, Steven Snowden, and Brian Mark.

Presently, Hunter is a freelance percussionist and educator based in the Oklahoma City-area.  He teaches at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma as an Adjunct Instructor of Percussion and is the Percussion Director for Chickasha Public Schools.
