Daniel Smithiger serves as the Director of the Percussion Area, and Director of the Basketball Bands at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Since his appointment in 2010, he has taught applied percussion, percussion ensemble, percussion history and literature, pedagogy, SIUE drumline, and SIUE Steel.
