KöNG Duo
Originally from Hong Kong, KöNG Duo (Bevis Ng and Hoi Tong Keung) is a Toronto-based percussion duo specializing in contemporary classical music. They strive to expand the possibilities of the genre through instrumentation and the incorporation of multimedia. Following their successful début concert at the Banff Centre in 2022, the Duo has performed locally at the inaugural Celebration of Small Ensembles Series by Music TORONTO and internationally at TROMP Percussion Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and Darmstadt Summer Course (Germany).
KöNG Duo recently won the first prize at Southern California Marimba 2023 International Artist Competition. Moreover, the Duo is selected as the Young Artistic Associates for the 2023–2024 season of Confluence Concerts. As part of the program, they will present their new curation “Dreams of Home” in December 2023.
