My students have been absolutely enthralled by it and I would say my more drum-set oriented students were actually the first ones to start playing it aside from myself and a few others after setting it up. The set-up was extremely simple, and the unboxing/set-up guide you e-mailed was perfect.

I just wanted to personally thank you and everyone involved for the time, effort, and professionalism you put in to creating the marimba for me. I received it yesterday and set it up last night. It sounds amazing. The reason why I finally purchased a marimba is because I have started collaborating with percussionists internationally and having this marimba will make it much easier for practicing and performing with them. Additionally, I wanted to continue to hone my ability on marimba. I do hope to one day represent the Marimba One company with the same professionalism.
Our kiddos love and treat your instrument with such high respect!! They always ask for permission, fold the cover when in use, cover after use, move carefully, and use special M1 mallets for their 5.0 octave. It is used as a rite of passage for our 7th graders. The 8th graders (including the wind players) guard it with their lives.
Letting you know that I received our new Wave 9601 marimba on Thursday. It is an absolutely gorgeous instrument; thank you to Kaito, and the rest of the M1 team for this wonderful instrument!
The Jewel Marimba had me feeling like a little kid again in all the best ways. The unique pattern and layout almost discourages the learning of patterns and in its place encourages openness and leading with a sense of curiosity. My sense of time dissolved the more I played it, I was captivated by the unpredictable nature of the keys, combined with the somehow very grounding and deeply familiar resonance the instrument was producing. The sound is impossible to describe with words.
I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our new marimba. My son and I have both been playing it almost every day. It is such a beautiful instrument and very easy to tell how much care was taken in building it. I was a finish carpenter in my past life so I have an eye for detail and fine craftsmanship. Thank you so much for an amazing instrument.
