“I endorse Marimba One marimbas and mallets, for their better quality, full-bodied tone which one can produce throughout their range.”

Louis Wildman

Louis Wildman grew up in a family that enjoyed playing music. He played the piano before he went to elementary school.   In the first grade, he played glockenspiel and snare drum in the 8th grade band.   At age 9 he played in the nationally famous Portland (Oregon) Youth Philharmonic.  At age 16 he successfully auditioned for the Portland Oregon Symphony Orchestra--one of the twenty best professional orchestras in this country.   Spending summers participating in the music festivals at Aspen and Tanglewood has been motivating. He now enjoys attending the annual Percussive Arts Society conventions.

Louis Wildman has a B.A. from Lewis & Clark College, a M.Mus.Ed. from the University of Portland, and an Ed.D. from the University of Washington.  He has soloed with the Oregon Symphony, the Port Angeles (Washington) Symphony, and the Rockford (Illinois) Symphony.  Currently he teaches percussion at California State University-Bakersfield.
